Dear Precious Birthmother:

This letter is first to inquire about you.  My husband Keith and I want you to know that our hopes and prayers are with you.

Keith and I have been married since 2005, and since marrying, we have wanted to start our family. After years of trying, we contacted a fertility clinic, but were unsuccessful with our efforts there, as well. Our families and close friends have been encouraging us in our faith but it has been difficult to fill the void we have both been feeling in our lives.  In retrospect, we believe that these past experiences have made us stronger individuals as we pursue our commitment to adopt a child.

Our home is located in a quiet neighborhood. Over the years, we have renovated our home and have prepared our baby’s room for her arrival. We often reflect with great anticipation the sounds of laughter and giggles coming from our young child as she celebrates life’s events. For us, a home is the interaction of others and the experiences we cherish as a family.

Keith is a kind and gentle man.  He is active in our church and provides many professional and personal services to members of our small congregation. We are fortunate that his occupation will allow us to meet the financial responsibilities required to successfully raise a child. I currently work as a preschool teacher. I love children and enjoy helping them learn and mature into responsible members of society. Once our little girl is home, I will leave my position as a teacher to devote my time to raising her.

I am sure that you have many questions to ask about us and our families. We are always available to address your concerns with sincerity as we embark on this exciting journey with you. In the end, we want you to feel comfortable with your decision and have no regrets over this critical phase of your life.  You will always be a part of our family as we proceed with this new chapter in our lives.

Sincerely,

Keith and Erly
