Dear Birthmother,

Hi!  We are Tom and Amy.  First, let us start of by saying we are praying for you and the beautiful life you are carrying with you at this moment.  We know this road, which you are currently traveling, may be hard, or not going exactly as planned.  Never doubt you are a very brave person for choosing life for your child.  By choosing life, you are forever changing the life of another man and woman who are getting that wonderful chance to be called Mommy and Daddy.  That’s something we have talked about and looked forward to since we first met.  We can’t wait for that opportunity and now would like to tell you a little about us. 

Tom is a teacher at the high school in the small town in which we live. He teaches math and science and also coaches football and basketball.  He is currently working towards his Master’s and is beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel.  He enjoys playing sports, fishing, spending time with friends and family, and simply spending time outdoors and enjoying life.  Amy manages a photo lab at a local drug store.  Amy loves to spend time with family and friends and taking photos of anything and everything as well as scrapbooking, playing piano and singing.  She currently is enrolled in photography school and has begun to start her own business taking pictures of high school seniors, weddings, family reunions, or other family outings that have that picture perfect moment.  Together, we are actively involved with the youth in the community and at the local church where we volunteer on a regular basis.

We live in a beautiful, safe neighborhood with lots of wonderful people and children in all directions.  We have a very spacious yard just waiting for the pitter-patter of little feet running through the house or playing in the yard.  Across the street we have a wonderful park, with many activities that Mommy and Daddy are looking forward to playing with their little boy/girl, and just spending time with our son/daughter.  Our home is overflowing with laughter, compassion and love; the one thing missing is a little one of our own to share it all with.

Family is very important to both of us and we are very fortunate to have them all very close to our home.  We really enjoy spending time with all of them.  They’re very excited and supportive about our decision to adopt!  We look forward to making our family even bigger and can’t even begin to describe the unconditional love your baby with be given.  We know our family will always be there for our child because they have fallen in love with our little dog “Izzy”.  The grandparents are always sad when she has to go home after a weekend visit, so if they love her, and spoil her silly, we know they will love their grandchild even more.

If you decide to choose us, we hope you understand that your child will always be loved and will know from the beginning about your decision to bring him or her into the world.  They will receive more hugs and kisses than ever thought possible and the child will also be taught about the Lord and his unending love.  We pray that you find comfort in your decision and pray that God will guide you to find the perfect parents for your baby.  You’re truly a very brave woman for traveling down this road.  Should we be blessed to raise the little one you are carrying, we can assure your baby a lifetime of stability and unconditional love.
