Dear Birthmother,

We hope that this letter finds you well. My name is Kelli, and my husband’s name is Tony. We really appreciate that you have taken the time to read our letter and to get acquainted with our family. Tony and I have been married 15 years and we have two wonderful children, Trevor and Morgan. As far as pets we have a very lovable four year old Shih-Tzu named Rocky.

Let me tell you a little about us individually. Tony is the Executive Vice President of the company that he works for. He has been at this job for 15 years and loves the challenges that he is faced with every day. When he comes home he is able to leave work at work and concentrate on us, his family. He helps the kids with homework and he loves to play a game or two of Yatzee with them.

As for myself, I am a stay at home mom. I love to cook, bake and try new recipes. For several years I home schooled Trevor and Morgan. When we decided to put them into public school I volunteered in their computer lab. I choose not to volunteer this year because I wanted to concentrate on preparing for the baby that we are hoping to adopt.

Trevor is our 11 year old son who is very interested in art. He has always had a knack for drawing. When he was 2 he liked drawing so well that he took my lipstick and drew all over my walls. Thankfully, now he uses paper and colored pencils. He has been recognized by his teachers at school for his artistic ability.

Morgan is our 10 year old daughter. She loves art also, but she excels at writing and storytelling. She also has been recognized by her teachers because of her ability to write a good story.  She also loves animals; as a matter of fact she prefers frogs to flowers.

As a family we love to hike, swim, take bike rides, and travel. Three years ago we were able to buy a cabin in a part of our state that allows us to do many outdoor activities. The cabin is located on 23 acres of woods with a pond, a waterfall, and trails for both hiking and riding our ATV. We love to take vacations as a family. We have been able to take the kids to 8 different countries and have traveled throughout the U.S.

Now that we have told you a little bit about ourselves let me tell you about our immediate family. Tony has four younger brothers and sisters and I have two younger brothers. All of our siblings have families of their own. In total, we have 15 nieces and nephews all under the age of 11. All of our family lives within 20 miles of our home. Since our mothers knew each other when we were young we all grew up knowing each other. We are very fortunate to have three grandmothers still living. All of our family is anxious to see us with a little one in our arms once again.

Tony, myself, Trevor and Morgan would like to assure you that if you choose for us to parent your child we will make your baby the center of our life. We can assure you that we will support, love and cherish your baby from day one and it will never stop. We realize that you are trying to find the perfect family for your child and this letter only tells you a little about our family. We hope that you will call us and let us answer any and all of your questions. This way you can be confident that we are the perfect family to raise your child.
