Dear Birthmother,

We can’t even imagine what your thoughts and feeling must be as you make this difficult decision.  We admire and respect you for the responsible choice you are making.  Thank you for taking the time to look at our profile and to try to get to know us better.  We are Brian and Julie and we hope that our pictures and words show you how loving and how excited we are to have our family grow through adoption.

We have known each other since grade school.  We started dating in 2004 and decided to get married in December of 2005.  We have a very loving and honest relationship.  We have both experienced joy and sorrow and because of this it has help us grow as a couple and as parents.  We have a daughter named Sydney, who is a very loving and caring child and can’t wait to be a big sister.

We both have careers that we love. Brian is a Firefighter/EMT.  It has always been his dream job.  He enjoys helping people in need and his job allows him to spend a lot of time at home.  I am a Teller/Branch Manager at a bank.  Banking is something I have done since high school.  My mother is also a banker so I followed in her footsteps.  I work for a very family oriented company, so it is very easy to get off work when needed.  We participate in a lot of volunteer work like walking and raising money for the American Cancer Society, Bowling for Big Brothers Big Sisters and Toys for Tots.  We also enjoy volunteering at Sydney’s school when we can. 

We live on a 45 acre farm.  Our house is a ranch style home. It has three bedrooms, two baths, and a playroom.  We have a fenced in back yard with a swing set where we can run and play.  The town in which we live is small and there are playgrounds, parks, and great schools.  There have been several families in our community that have adopted so we know they will welcome our child with open hearts and arms.

Education is very important to us.  We will emphasize to your child at an early age how important school is.  We stress to Sydney that it is very important to do the best she can and to study hard.  As your child gets older the opportunity for him or her to go to college will be there.  We will have a college fund in place for your child.  We will support your child in whatever decision he or she makes about going to college but we will emphasize on how important it is to further its education.

In our spare time we enjoy spending time on our farm.  We like to relax on our back porch and watch the deer and turkeys.  We also like to ride 4-wheelers, hunt and fish.    We have movie nights were we all snuggle on the couch, eat popcorn and watch movies together, Sydney really likes movie night.  We also enjoy having our friends and family over for cook outs and to play different kinds of games, like cards and board games. 

We can’t wait to share more of our lives with you.  We all have the same hopes and dreams for when it comes to the life of this child.  We hope that we can experience this emotional time together and support one another with years to come when it comes to this precious gift of life.
