Dear Birth Mother,

“Do it again!” followed by giggles…That’s what you’d hear if you were to spend an afternoon in our home. We love spending time with our daughter and our days are usually filled with different activities. Our favorites are piggy back rides, dancing, reading, hide and seek, exploring and chase. We’ve enjoyed creating these special memories with our daughter and we look forward to adding another child to our family.

Rich and I met our first year of college and have been together ever since. In college we shared a love for the outdoors and spent many weekends at different parks camping and hiking for hours. We still love to camp and hike with our daughter and our 2 dogs as often as we can. We married in November 1999 in St. Lucia, which is where our passion for travel began. We were fortunate to be able to travel quite a bit when we first married and we’re eagerly anticipating exploring new locations with our children.

We built our 4 bedroom home a little over 1 year ago in a smaller community that’s within 15 minutes of the city. We have excellent schools and our neighborhood is filled with children of all ages. Our community is very active and in warmer weather there are always families outside gathering together for barbeques, or simply strolling or biking through the subdivision. We love the “small town” feel of our community and enjoy watching the parades and fire works show that our town puts on. Being close to the city allows us to take frequent trips to the zoo and different museums.

Our family and friends are very important to us and we’re fortunate to have them nearby. Our daughter is able to spend time with all her grandparents each week and we get together for games with our families and friends as often as we can. We love to play cards, dominoes, or whatever new game we can find. Our family is extremely close and very supportive. They were thrilled with our decision to adopt 2 ½ years ago when our daughter came into our lives and they are excited about our plans to adopt again.

Rich is a Financial Operations Controller and I’m an Accountant. Our careers provide us stability and give us the flexibility that allows me to stay home 4 out of 7 days. This allows us to spend more time with our daughter and we’re extremely grateful for this opportunity. We’re not only able to spend more time doing fun things like going to the playground or to the amusement park, but we’re also able to enjoy more of the quiet moments cuddling and talking about the day’s events. We cherish the time we spend with her and love being able to take her to new places and teach her new things. We want to teach our children more than just the standard textbook education – love of nature, the importance of family, generosity, and how to have fun!

We’re grateful to you for choosing adoption and considering us as the potential family for your child. We know finding the right family is extremely important to you. We assure you that our children will grow up with an abundance of love and will never lack hugs and kisses. Our daughter is looking forward to sharing her favorite movies with her baby brother and she’s been practicing changing diapers on all of her dolls and stuffed animals. We’re all eager to expand our family, add to our memories, and create new family adventures.
