Dear Birthmother:

My husband, George and I are writing this letter to let you know what a courageous decision you are making. Although your decision is in the best interest of your child it has got to be the most difficult choice you will ever make. If you choose us to be your baby’s adoptive parents, he/she will be loved and cherished, and will be raised in a Christian home.

My husband and I have been married since 1989. Although we have had our share of good times, we have also had our share of rough times too. The love we have for the Lord and each other has brought us closer together. We have a daughter, Michelle, who is nine years old. She is anxiously awaiting a sibling. We are a faithful family that trusts in the Lord.

We live in a family-oriented community and our neighborhood is full of families with young children. We chose this neighborhood because of all the kids and the school district, which is one of the best in the country. Our home is full of warmth and love. We have a 4 bedroom colonial home on over an acre of land. George’s family lives nearby and we see them often. I have three brothers who live nearby as well.

George is very handy and does all of the improvements around the house. He is very smart and was accepted to college for early admissions. He stayed in high school the full four years but took college courses his senior year. He graduated from a competitive university with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Master’s degree in Science. He has a very successful and financially rewarding career as the Chief Financial Officer of a very large asset management company.

I am blessed to be a stay-at-home mom. I enjoy being able to look after our home and family. I like to cook and believe it is important that we eat nutritious meals. I love to make Italian dishes and my favorite is baked ziti.

George and I love doing things together. On the weekends we go for bicycle rides and walks around the neighborhood. We love to play tennis and soccer. We enjoy skiing, camping and hiking as well. We love the outdoors and the peacefulness of nature. George is the coach of a 4th and 5th grade soccer team as well as the coach of an elementary school basketball team. I am involved in the Girl Scouts and enjoy helping with school activities as well.

We love to travel and each year we try to take at least two vacations. Last year we traveled to California to visit George’s cousin and went to Disneyland and Universal Studios. In addition, we went to Paradise Island in the Bahamas for a week. The year before we went to Disneyworld and SeaWorld, which was a lot of fun.

We are so excited and are looking forward to extending our family. Having another child is something we have been patiently awaiting for a long time. You can be assured that your child will be raised in a loving home. Thank you so much for reading our letter.
